Caring for the Malvern community

Since 1919

At our long-standing private family dental practice in Malvern, we truly understand the significance of your smile.

We recognize that some individuals may feel a bit anxious before their appointment, and we want you to know that we empathize with this. Rest assured, we go the extra mile to create a comfortable environment during your time at our practice. If you’re feeling nervous, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Whether you’re in need of treatment, seeking advice, or considering becoming a part of our dental family, we would be delighted to assist you.

Feel free to give us a call on 01684573109, and don’t forget to check out our Facebook page for the latest updates on treatments and special offers.

Our Facilities

We benefit from having a dental laboratory on-site. This means that we are able to create your dentures, retainers and sports guards entirely in-house, drastically reducing the amount of time you’ll be waiting for your new smile!

The practice is fully computerised, including a state-of-the-art OPG machine, which provides us with a digital alternative to X-rays. The OPG gives us high-definition, panoramic images of your teeth and mouth, allowing greater accuracy in diagnosis and also in creating restoration that will fit you precisely.

The practice is equipped with an award-winning decontamination room, which allows us to ensure that your treatment is conducted as safely as possible.

We have our own car park, as well as disabled access and baby changing facilities.

Our Practice Policy

Infection control is essential to the safety of our patients and every practice member receives training in practice systems for cross infection control. We have regular staff meetings to make suggestions for improving the care we give patients.

All dentists in the practice take part in continuing professional education, meeting the General Dental Councils requirements. All staff joining the practice receive full training to NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing.

At your first visit you can expect a thorough examination, including a soft tissue check and appropriate x-rays. From this information we should be able to discuss any treatment that may be necessary and provide you with an estimate of our fees.

If treatment is indicated we shall attempt to restore optimum dental health in as few well-planned appointments as possible, followed by a suggested future programme to maintain your dental health. This may include visits to one of our hygienists.

We like to ensure that we have happy patients, so if you have a complaint we have a practice complaints procedure to try and resolve the problem quickly.

General Dental Council

All of our dental professionals are registered with and regulated by the General Dental Council (GDC).

In September 2013, the GDC issued a document which sets out the standards of conduct, performance and ethics that govern dental professionals. The standards contain nine core principles which tell patients what they can expect from their dental team. These principles are listed below and tell you what you can expect from the team at Buckingham House Dental Surgery:

  • Put a patient’s interests first
  • Communicate with patients effectively
  • Obtain valid consent
  • Maintain and protect patients’ information
  • Have a clear and effective complaints procedure
  • Work with colleagues in a way that is in a patient’s best interest
  • Maintain, develop and work within our professional knowledge and skills
  • Raise concerns if patients are at risk
  • Make sure our personal behaviour maintains a patients’ confidence in us and the dental profession.
